Application - Where the Transmission Parts Sit
Application positions (schematic) | Source: schematic placeholder, not a product photo | Applies to: Woodworking machines (catalogue application only; no customer or installation claimed) | Real product photo to be supplied.

Where the parts sit

  1. ① Planetary gearbox at the axis drive — Reduces motor speed and multiplies torque for the axis; ratio and backlash are checked on the selection page.
  2. ② Gear rack along the long-travel bed — Converts pinion rotation into long linear travel; module, length and straight vs. helical must be stated in the inquiry.
  3. ③ Rotary table at the indexing station — Positions and holds the workpiece directly on the table; hollow centre carries wiring and piping. IP40 — do not assume suitability for a wet or food line.

Product lines used

Planetary gearboxes, including the economy straight line where ultra-low backlash is not the main requirement.

Key parameters

  • Planetary ratios 3–100, IP65, life 20,000 h.
  • Straight economy lines SPF / ZPF (040–142) and SPL / ZPL (040–160) for price-sensitive axes.
  • Right-angle output SPW (075–210) where the layout needs it.

Environment limits

  • Wood dust: gearbox IP65 is a gearbox rating; rotary-table dust suitability (IP40) is to be confirmed in writing before specifying a rotary table on a dusty line.
  • Backlash grade for the exact frame still decides precision axes — check the dimension sheet.

What to state in the inquiry

  • Backlash requirement, dust environment, motor brand and model, flange and shaft.
