Application - Where the Transmission Parts Sit
Application positions (schematic) | Source: schematic placeholder, not a product photo | Applies to: Gantry and long travel (catalogue application only; no customer or installation claimed) | Real product photo to be supplied.

Where the parts sit

  1. ① Planetary gearbox at the axis drive — Reduces motor speed and multiplies torque for the axis; ratio and backlash are checked on the selection page.
  2. ② Gear rack along the long-travel bed — Converts pinion rotation into long linear travel; module, length and straight vs. helical must be stated in the inquiry.
  3. ③ Rotary table at the indexing station — Positions and holds the workpiece directly on the table; hollow centre carries wiring and piping. IP40 — do not assume suitability for a wet or food line.

Product lines used

DIN867 gear racks + planetary gearboxes as one long-travel axis.

Key parameters

  • Racks: modules 1.5–10, lengths 500 / 1,000 / 2,000 mm, DIN 6h25 / 10e27, materials C45 / S45C and 16MnCr5 / SCM440.
  • Planetary ratios 3–100, IP65; pinion + gearbox + motor stated as one axis.

Environment limits

  • Total travel beyond one rack length needs joined lengths stated; joint alignment is to be confirmed by the supplier in writing.
  • Axis accuracy is pinion + gearbox backlash + machine alignment together — no single part decides it.

What to state in the inquiry

  • Total travel, module, straight vs. helical, mounting, load, motor brand and model.
